Wood frame, painted copper with black "antiquing;" elaborate applied gesso rim of leaf, swag and triple dot motif with flower motif at corners; plain raised band inside this, then a double beaded band; mat is brown velvet with gold wooden inner rim; photo under glass; black and white bust-length view 3/4 turn; middle aged woman wearing white lace cape; dark hair pulled back; lace collar; cameo pin at neckline; dark dress with dark lace bow under pin and down front of dress.
