Navy blue velvet with jet bead; polonaise dress with matching skirt; collar trimmed with black lace collar; long sleeves trimmed with lace and jet beads at cuffs; dress open at front- sides are trimmed with black lace ruffle and ruching with jet beads and jet bead netting; 2 "panniers" poofs at back as polonaise; bodice is boned and lined with lavendar taffeta; sleeves lined with black silk; dress has hooks which hook onto underskirt; 9 black covered buttons center front; skirt (b) has silk waistband lined with linen; scalloped hem with jet bead medallions with jet bead tassels; hook and eye closure; scalloped edge bound with black taffeta.
