Black and white engraving of George Washington and his family; Washington in uniform sits at left with grandson standing beside him; Martha Washington sits on right with granddaughter standing beside her; a black servant stands behind Martha; the map on the table (in the center of the engraving) is probably the plan for Washington, D.C.; a view of the Potomic is in the background; wooden frame covered with gilt and gesso; decorated with beaded and scalloped trim.
