Description

Ladderback rocking chair. Maple, ash, rush seat. Three arched slats with turned urn and ball finials, flattened ball turnip in siles between slats. Rush seat, plain turned front lip, paired dowel stretchers at the front and sides, single dowel stretcher at rear.

A label on the underside of the seat reads: Small, rush-seated chair with stubby rockers. Inherited by Catherine A. Little 1823-1923 at the death of her mother , (February 16, 1900) Eliza Adams Little.
