I have a green tagged 4/22/1873 No. 78 E.W. Vaill black walnut with red carpet flower design with black inner trim and the head rest area is a Greek or roman ornate design. Curious as to the value? Thank you!

Thank you for your comment, Mr. Martell,
Unfortunately, as a non-profit collecting organization, Historic New England staff are not ethically allowed to provide appraisal values for objects in private collections. I would recommend that you contact an auction house or antiques dealer in your area as they would have the best idea of market value.
Again, thank you for your interest in our chair.
Sincerely,
Nicole Chalfant
