A=Bodice; B=Skirt. Chartreuse corded silk w/ pale pink & chartreuse lampas. A=Bodice - broad drawstring neckline w/ chartreuse piping; exaggerated puffed sleeves of pink & green lampas; lampas woven w/ abstract swirls & small flowers (recalls bizarre silks of 18th c.). Same lampas inserted at front & at pleated panel; boned; sharply pointed wasp waist (front & back); lace closure at center back; lined w/ chartreuse taffeta; wool dress shields. B=Skirt - matching; side panels of same lampas; train; chartreuse taffeta dust ruffle; taffeta lining. Fullness held in back w/ elastic bands attached to lining; cartridge pleats at center back; hook & eye closure.
