Description

Blue and white charger. Outer border has panels of chrysanthemums alternating with scrolled medallions containing 1) landscape scene of house with trees near stream and 2) scrolls and vases. Inner border has a band of scrolls in cavetto and double band of blue around central scene of large chrysanthemums, left, growing from behind rock. Gnarled pine and two bamboo trees, right, growing behind rock. Table upon which sits a vase of flowers. Prancing fawn in foreground. Dark brown rim. Paper label on bottom: "This Plate belonged to Benjamin Faneuil."
