A=Bodice; B=Skirt. Light brown taffeta. A=Bodice - Basque style; standing band collar; smocked & shirred front plastron panel covering hook & eye closure at center front. Long sleeves w/ turned back cuffs w/ inserted smocked panel; self-piping around placket & cuffs; peplum w/ opening at center front; darts; lined w/ brown cotton twill. B=Skirt - matching skirt has 2 panels draped across front (overlapping) & drawn up at sides where stitched in place under 2 bands of smocking. Pleats at back waist; back panel w/ pouf/bustle; ruffled hem; lined w/ brown cotton; one band of elastic about 3/4 way down on lining; dust ruffle bound w/ brown wool tape.
