Description

Deep bowl form with molded step at flared, scalloped rim, terminating in wide mouth. Underglaze brown transfer-printed design of "Canova" pattern: overall classical [Venetian?] scene with urn at right and gondola and temple at left; rim with scenic reserves of ship and urn alternating with floral reserves on stippled ground; white clay body.
