Delftware saucer with white glaze and blue hand-painted decoration. The border consists of alternating panels of abstract floral sprays and single flowers surrounding a central image of a lion standing in front of columns or scrolls (probably scrolls): emblematic of the Hebrew Torah. A hole has been drilled in the saucer to so it can be hung.
