Breakfast cup and saucer

Description

This each piece in this porcelain cup and saucer set is composed of a white-bodied porcelain. The deep-welled cup has a lobed rim, foot ring and a scrolled handle. The cup is embellished with a brown transfer-printed image of kneeling, chained man near a palm tree. This image is typically associated with the "Am I not a man and a brother?" quotation which commonly appeared in Abolitionist materials.
