Chest with drawer

Description

Oak and ebonized maple. Rectangular single board with cleat ends over case with paneled ends. Facade features three recessed panels divided by four pairs of split spindles and a large, horizontal molded ledge over single long drawer with applied moldings at the center; flanked by endposts which also form legs. Old red paint and unrestored slats remain. Single board hinge lid. Leather hinges of lid replace original iron pin hinges. Lid interior inscribed "GRAIN."
