Loose Photographs

Description

Box containing 32 loose black-and-white photographs. Photographs are of a wide variety of furniture pieces as well as interior room settings. None of the furniture depicted appears to be the work of A. H. Davenport Co., Irving and Casson, or their successor Irving & Casson - A. H. Davenport Co. Instead the photographs depict part of the collection of Richard A. Canfield (1855-1914) of Providence, RI. Photographs of his collection, along with those of Charles Leonard Pendleton (1846-1904), and Marsden Jasiel Perry (1850-1935)., are also shown in albums CC010.006.005-0007. Some photographs have a handwritten "C" on the reverse side, identifying them as pertaining to Canfield. Three photographs have stamps on the reverse indicating the photographer of each: John W. Auty and Willis A. Dean (two times), both of Providence, RI.
