Chippendale-style side chair has curved crest rail with carved volutes on ears; pierced splat with Gothic tracery patterns; molded stiles; upholstered seat; straight seat rails; square legs, raked in rear; and H- stretcher. The note "Stretchers should be omitted F H B" and " "A" / $30" are handwritten on drawing. F. H. B. refers to Francis Henry Bacon, a chief designer for A. H. Davenport Co.
