Description

A black and white image of a street in Boston's North End showing a woman on the fire escape of an apartment house hanging laundry on a clothesline in the background; and in the foreground, a man in a suit and scally cap stands in front of Boston Fire Department, Engine 6. There are additional people standing and walking on the sidewalk of the street. A poster on the brick wall advertises the movie "Shore Leave" at the Scollay Square Olympia Theatre, a silent comedy made in 1925 starring Richard Barthelmess and Dorothy Mackaill.
