Description

Photo album titled: "Mantels: Imported Mantels 52A." Title is hand printed in black on front cover; title, subtitle, and volume number are hand printed in black on spine. Album has a beige fabric covering and 104 dark gray pages, some of which are now loose. Seven of the pages are blank. Album contains 97 mounted black-and-white photographs. Photographs are of a variety of fireplace mantels manufactured by A. H. Davenport Co., Irving and Casson, and their successor, Irving and Casson - A. H. Davenport Co. The order number and year are often shown on a display in the photographs; no model numbers have been added. Also included in the 97 photographs are two of 18th century English mantels that were imported. Customer names are handwritten on some album pages. Named customers are: Mrs. Hugh Grant (New York, NY); W. L. Mellon (Pittsburgh, PA): Louis Mendelssohn (Grosse Pointe, MI); and Schouler Concrete Construction Co. (Newark, NJ).
