Description

Rolled fragment of unused floral medallion wallpaper from the William H. Greeley homestead, Gloucester, Maine. See object file for letter written by Dorothy Waterhouse to Bernard Scott describing her visit to the Greeley house in 1979.Floral medallions are formed by white and light green rose bouquets printed held by scrolling acanthus leaves framed by metallic gold foliate vines and c-scrolls and white and green rose swags. Also areas of diamond strapwork. Roller-printed in white, two light greens, olive, tan and metallic gold on cream ground. Manufactured by the Robert Graves Company, pattern number 7942RA. Matching frieze paper is 2001.281.1116.
