An all-over geometric chip-carving glass panel below revealing a small watercolor with a bird, architectural view and grapes, signed in pencil on a watercolor ribbon "Mrs. S.M. Thomas". The case now houses a compass.
In pencil on the front panel of the watercolor paper on the watercolor ribbon is signed: Mrs. S.M. Thomas .
