Description

Unused piece of reproduction wallpaper in the "Vassall Adams House" pattern by Waterhouse Wallhangings, Inc. Wallpaper has an all-over pattern of stylized vases holding flowers and surrounded by floral and folage garlands and swags. Tassels are suspended from swags. Roller-printed in cream and peach on a rust ground. Pattern is a reproduction of a circa 1829 wallpaper chosen by John Quincy Adams for use in the formal sitting room of the Old House, Quincy, MA (now part of the Adams National Historical Park). The 1829 paper was an American adaptation of a Jean-Baptiste Reveillon design.
