Description

A black and white print copy of a daguerreotype of Pedro Parris. The back of the photograph includes the following information. Parris was born in 1833(?) in Africa. He was brought to Rio de Janeiro as a slave, but he was freed and brought to Maine by federal authorities to be part of the trial of Captain Cyrno Libby.
