Description

Wallpaper border fragment from Alexander House on Main Street in Northfield, Massachusetts. Novelty border depicting Native Americans sitting at a fire. Over the fire is a large pot on a tri-pod. The Native Americans wear headbands with feathers and loinclothes, one smokes a long pipe. The surrounding landscape includes a waterway, trees, a flying duck and oversized floral sprigs. Roller-printed in black, brown, blue, yellow, orange, red and green on off-white ground. Imprint of paper 2001.281.461.1 evident on verso.
