Description

Wallpaper fragment used as a day book cover by Mr. William Cottle of Nantucket, Massachusetts. Landscape figure pattern wallpaper fragment depicting a dog disrupting the nest of two fowl. The figure is block-printed in three pinks, maroon and white on pink ground. Diamond patterned geometric stripes flank the figure on both sides. The stripes are block-printed in green and blue. Handmade paper in partial sheets.
