The materials in this collection were acquired through two accessions. One was a gift from the Locke-Ober Cafe, and the other was a purchase from an auction of Locke-Ober Cafe items.

- Reference Code
The Locke-Ober Cafe was established in 1875 and was the third oldest cafe in Boston, Massachusetts, until it closed in 2012. The cafe featured French cuisine and seafood, and it was a popular destination throughout the early- and mid-1900s.
