Description

Sampler with embroidered alphabet, verses, numbers, people and animals depicted in silk thread on a linen ground. Text is surrounded by flowers, flying birds and birds in trees. Bottom half of sampler shows a small house at left with faces peeking out of the first floor windows. To the right of the house is a fence and woman standing next to a flowering tree. Border has a flowering vine and skeletal zebras. Plain wood frame.
