Description

This ivory ring is in its original box. The ring was carved from a single piece of ivory, with a rectangular plaque and a rounded shank. The plaque is engraved in script with the initials "SEG" which were filled in with red pigment. "SEG" were the initials of the donor's ancestor, Susan E. Gove. The original paper box is labeled with the jeweler's name and address in Manchester, New Hampshire. It is lined with padded ivory velvet.
