Description

Rectangular black trunk; leather exterior; wood interior with metal fixtures: edges; handles left and right side; shield-shaped lockand hoop front, center, top; three hinges (back); brass tacks abound in design on all exteriors except back and bottom; braces inside.

In exhibit "Boxes: Open and Shut" at SPNEA's One Bowdoin Square Gallery May 15, 2001 to October 2001. The exhibit then traveled to Hancock Shaker Village in Pittsfield, MA where objects were on display from November 2001 to May 6, 2002.
