Hand-whittled wooden decoy with wire bill; painted black and white with black speckles under its belly; it resides on a stick-up stand. N.F. Little has two acquisition entries in decoys file that fit this object in certain respects and not in others: 1. "SNIPE -large size -long bill [2"] Original stick; 15" Brkline" 2. "PR. CURBEWS 13" long. bent over. round wire bill. Fr. Conn, crude." [see NOTE from this record]
