Oval form. Hepplewhite-style. Gilt and gesso molded frame. Central urn, scroll and leaf finial with gilt gesso and wire blue-ball like swags decoration cascading down side. Drop finial in elongated floral motif.
Made of glass, gilt, and gesso, this mirror was once owned by Elizabeth Gilman. William Perry Dudley found the mirror and brought it to the Gilman Garrison in Exeter, New Hampshire. The highly styled piece features a central urn, scroll, and leaf finial with swags cascading down the oval side. The mirror is one of only a few pieces on display in the house with a Gilman family connection.
