Description

Plain maple or pine hope chest; rectangular with hinged lid and two black painted metal handles on sides; keyhole lock at front with key; pedestal base; inside bottom lined with newspaper dated 1916 and tissue paper; contains linens; ledges inside support top tray; handle openings on sides of tray.
