Description

Queen Anne form, slant lid desk on frame. Sides dovetailed through top. Hinged lid conceals stepped interior. Seven pigeonholes with ogee valances over 10 drawers, two tiered drawers at ends and center have short pigeonhole above. Five drawers of lower case, four half width above full width bottom drawer. Thumbnail molded face boards on drawers and lid, which over hangs top and sides but is flush with drawer bottom. Wide molding nailed to leg frame overhangs apron. Apron shaped with flat topped ogee arch having drop at center front. Cabriole legs have unusual sqaring of front feet, rear legs have round foot. Stripped finish, evidence of dark stain. Brasses replaced.
