Description

Piece from a dinner set. Stand for a sauce boat. White clay body w/ pearl blue glaze. Underglaze of brown transfer printed decoration in pattern called "Carolina/ R. Hall" (printed on body in brown). Features border of rococo-type cartouches w/ berry motif and striped diapers. Platter: shaped rectangular form. Deep well w/ romanticized Southern mansion scene w/ urn and classical buildings. Large stress crack.
