Description

Molded, white clay body w/ blue pearl glaze. Three stilt marks on front and back. Circular plate form w/ dished rim, pronounced cavetto and deep well. Underglaze blue transfer printed decoration from series "Oriental Scenery/ Mahomedan Mosque & Tomb/ I. Hall" (Marked in blue). Central scene of middle-eastern mosque w/ camel in foreground. Rim w/ elaborate naturalistic floral and fruit border flanked by a small leaf and Gothic "keyhole" secondary border.
