Description

A membership certificate certifying that Jane Armstrong Tucker was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. A blue seal is affixed to the bottom of the certificate. Frame: 1 1/4 in. brown and gilt.

Printed on entire paper: ""The National Society of the/ Daughters of the American Revolution/ 1776 1890/ This Certifies that/ Jane Armstrong Tucker/ is a regularly approved member of the National Society of the Daughters of the/ American Revolution, in connection w/ the Gen. Knox Chapter, having been admitted by the National Board of Management by virtue of her/ descent from Richard Tucker who with/ unfailing loyalty rendered material aid to the cause of American Independence/ as Soldier, Prisoner during the Revolutionary War./ Given under our hands and the seal of the National Society/ this 17th day of Dec. 1929/ Edith Irwin Nobart/ President General/ National No. 256351 Era V. M. Bissell/ Recording Secretary General/ Admitted Oct. 23, 1929 Kate B. Van Orsdel./ Registrar General"" Written on the blue seal are the words: ""The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution/ 1776 Home & Country 1890."" Inside the seal, a woman is seated at a spinning wheel.
