Large overmantel painting, rectangular format. View of town framed by trees, rocks, houses, two churches on left, water with boats at right. Dark, half sky. Frame heavy black, bolection molding not original to, but contemporary with panel (NFL).

Said to represent/a view of the South Cove, Boston, from Windmill/1743 edition of Bonner's map./ Shows New South/Meeting House Hollis Street Church, Armory's Wharf/ and the shot tower on the shore.
