Pot de creme. Twenty-five pieces. Two tiered stand w/ 24 cups. Part of Haviland dinner set; white w/ gold banding; items w/ handles have applied and gilded foliate decoration at base of handle; items w/ finials have applied and gilded gourd finials.

Inscriptions
Stamped on bottom: ""H & Co./ L"" and ""HAVILAND & CO./ LIMOGES""--see worksheet for drawing of inscription. ""Kovel's Dictionary of Marks"" lists these marks as being used after 1879. The Tuckers bought this set in 1867. Clearly there is a discrepancy in the book's information.
