Description

Oil painting on canvas portrait of Jane Appleton Phillips. She has brown eyes and brown hair that is parted down the middle and tied back with a piece of red fabric. She is wearing a white shawl around her shoulders and a multi-colored dress. The background is a cloudy mountain scene. The wood frame is painted gold and intricately carved with a flower design around the outer border. The inner edge is oval shaped and there is decorations in each corner.
