Description

An engraving of a painting that depicts a victory of the British over the French on April 12, 1782. There are many ships engaged in battle across the middle. Life boats and people are along the bottom near sinking ships. Under the scene to the left is the painter's name and a numbered list of English guns and men. On the right side under the scene is a list of French ships and men that were taken prisoner.
