The Pickering House is seen with a telephone pole on the left side of the image. The house was built by John Pickering and is located at 18 Broad Street. It was the birthplace of Colonel Timothy Pickering who served in the Revolutionary War and held cabinet posts in subsequent years. The card was manufactured in Germany.
