This trade card for Geo. (George) H. Lane & Co., retailer and wholesaler of men's, boys', and youth's clothing, in Boston, Massachusetts features a photograph of President Abraham Lincoln and his son, Thomas "Tad" Lincoln. The retail store was located at 31-32 Dock Square, and the wholesale location was located at 45 Milk Street. In the center of the card is the oval photograph of the president and his son that Anthony Berger took at the Matthew Brady National Photographic Art Gallery, in Washington, D.C., on February 9, 1864.
