Description

This presentation perspective drawing depicts the Islesboro Inn, designed by Edmund March Wheelwright of Wheelwright and Haven. Built between 1889 and 1890 on Dark Harbor bay on Islesboro Island, Maine, the architect combined elements of the Shingle style and Tudor Revival style. Delineator Robert Closson Spencer, Jr., who later worked as an architect in the Prairie School style, created the ink and watercolor perpsective, which appeared in several exhibitions of architectural drawings.
