Description

A group of children stand in front of the Christopher Gibson Playground in Fields Corner, Dorchester. A baby carriage stands near the group. Children play on the swing sets in the background. This park is now known as the Doherty/Gibson Playground. Christopher Gibson was one of the original settlers of Dorchester in 1630, served as a selectman, and bequeathed over 100 pounds for the advancement of education.
