Photographs of New England by Edwin B. Sears

Description

A bound but untitled photograph album compiled and evidently photographed by Edwin B. Sears of Weston, Massachusetts from whose estate this was acquired. It is decoratively annotated in his hand, and includes snapshots of buildings in Salem, Lancaster, Nantucket, Provincetown and Weston/Wayland. The majority of the views appear to have been taken in the late 1920s, some dated to 1927. See also papers of E.B. Sears and collection (not in papers, but filed separately) of travel brochures assembled by him over the many years of his travels to places of "antiquarian" interest. See also paper of M.B. Sears (his mother) which describe some of his travels and interests.
