Lyman Family snapshots

PC009.181 (RS177198)

Description

A photograph album which is inscribed inside the front cover, "Margaret Lyman from Mamma, December 30, 1909." Some of the photographs at the beginning of the album are dated 1909, but many are dated 1910 or are undated. The handwriting of the captions remains the same throughout, so presumably the creator added photographs to the album after giving it to Margaret Lyman in 1909.

The photograph album includes snapshots of Lyman family members and friends at the Lymans' homes and other destinations in Brookline, Cohasset, Boston, and Waltham, Mass. Most of the photographs are dated 1909 or 1910 and are well identified.

Included in the album are photographs of many Lyman family members and members of other familys including the Coolidge, Putnam, Eliot, Deford, Sweetser, Lee, Thacher, Richardson, Hallowell, Harrington, Cabet, Storer, Arnoldson, Sedgewick, Gigginson, Moorfield, Paine, and Curtis families.
