Stand (A) and holder (B) to maintain an object open and upright for reading. Could be used for a book, newspaper, menu card, etc. Silverplated. Base is hexagonal topped by two stepped circular layers into which the holder is screwed. The holder is fashhioned of sturdy curved wire. Two curves support the object from behind, a third makes a small lip that holds it at the bottom and a forth holds it at the center front. The center front wire is topped by a small round ball finial.
