Description

Framed photographic print of the three eldest children of Charles I, Charles, Prince of Wales (1630-1683); James, Duke of York (1633-1701); and Mary, Princess of Orange (1631-1660), stand between two King Charles spaniels. The elder boy is wearing a shirt with a scalloped edged lace collar and cuffs and breeches with a bow at the knee. The younger boy [in center] depicted in a long skirt and cap. The girl is wearing a dress with scalloped hem and a cape. The children are standing on a rug in front of an embroidered curtain.The original painting is in the Royal Collection Trust, England.
