Description

Framed watecolor on paper of a ship with eight sails unfurled and seven furled, the body is painted black with a white horizontal strip. There are four figures on board. The ship is flying seven flags on its masts, two of which are American flags. There are two ships in the background to the left and land to the right.

The / wreck was sold to Spanards. She / was raised and made several / voyages to Spain and finally sunk / in the China Sea. This was the / last ship S.C. Phillips owned. / Water Color by M.
