Lithograph engraving on machine made paper. Scene of invading tropical harbor with seven ships, three of them with their masts out. The third ship from the left is flying a French flag. People stand along the harbor and watch. In the lower right corner is a woman standing next to canoe. Two palm trees are in the center foreground next to a small, square brick well.
