Series XI. Papers of Ralph May, collector, 1710-1923, undated, is made up of miscellaneous items that appear to be connected because they were collected by Ralph May. They include: an undated letter from John Quincy Adams to his brother, acts of taxation; acts of taxation passed by the General Court of Massachusetts Bay in 1710; documents related to the Friendly Fire Society; Dr. Belknap's Sermon on the National Fast, May 9, 1798; a marriage certificate for Ralph May and Mary Hall, 1807; a copy of Jacob Sheafe's will, 1829, the family record of James Haile, 1750-1836; newspaper articles; the constitution and bylaws of the United Fire Society, and a transcript of James Rundlet's 1852 obituary.
