Subseries C. Legal documents, 1780-1851, undated (#C.1.22-C.1.34), contains property deeds, estate papers, mortgages, and indentures. The series includes deeds for property on Middle Street and Market Street in Portsmouth, New Hampshire; deeds for pews (1795-1796); and deeds for property in Exeter, New Hampshire, Portland Maine (1809-1823), York, Maine (1780), Campton, New Hampshire (1811) Wolfboro, New Hampshire (1826), Lowell, Maine (1827), Stratford, New Hampshire (1834), Pembroke, New Hampshire (1835), and deeds for a Turnpike Share (1803); mortgages for property on Pleasant Street (1808), Court Street (1824), and Daniel Street (1828); general legal documents including a right of entry, Guadeloupe (1806), agreement between Rundlet and Cabot to lay out a street; dissolution of partnership with George Hill (1816), Power of Attorney from Elizabeth H. Williams (1822), recovery of debtor, Nathaniel Dennett, Jr. (1829), plea of power, Tabitha Green (1831), agreement to sell house on Middle Street to James Rundlet, J. W. and George W. Thompson (1834), an agreement to take policies in Rockingham Mechanics Mutual Fire Insurance Company (1845); estate records for James Rundlet's father and Edward Rundlet, brother; and indentures related to rental of properties.
