Description

Decorated hair comb, or faa, from the Solomon Islands. The body and teeth are made from split sections of the tree fern, and the top and mid-section are intricately decorated with plaited black, natural and red plant fibers. A red resin covers portions of the comb. Faa are worn only by men.
